eReader Borrowing Guidelines
We currently have 2 KOBO eReaders for loan. We also have 1 Sony reference eReader for demonstration purposes and in-library training.
To prevent damage, eReaders must be returned to the circulation desk during library open hours and at least 30 minutes before closing. The borrower will be required to wait while the eReader is checked to insure all equipment is intact. Do not return e-Readers through the book drop.
Catalogue Search: To find and place an eReader on hold, search for KOBO in our catalogue, and then click ‘Place Hold’. Each KOBO eReader comes with a selection of current books in various genres and 100 classic titles preloaded titles. In addition to the preloaded titles, library patrons may download titles from the Library’s downloadable book collection by visiting the ‘Library to Go’ catalogue on our website at http://lillooet.bclibrary.ca/ . Search the Epub format eBooks, check-out and download the titles, and transfer titles easily to the KOBO.
Loan Period: 3 weeks (21 days)
Renewable: 2 renewals permitted providing no one else has placed a hold
If books are downloaded onto the reader, they will remain the property of the library and can be removed at the discretion of the library.
In case of loss or damage, the replacement cost of the eReader is $120.00, soft case $30.00, USB cable $15.00 and plastic case is $5.00. All contents of each eReader kit must be returned together.
