District of Lillooet is situated at the confluence of the Fraser River and the Bridge River to the north, and the Fraser River and Cayoosh Creek to the south. Lillooet’s first inhabitants named the area Pa-Shil-Qua-Ka-Meen – the place where three rivers meet. Visit the website for information related to the municipality.

 

Lillooet & District REC Centre is located at the heart of the Lillooet Community and offers a variety of services and facilities. Follow the Lillooet REC Centre Facebook Page to stay up to date on programs and activities.

 

Lillooet & District Chamber of Commerce focuses on the growth and sustainment of Lillooet and the surrounding regions by supporting local businesses, enabling tourism opportunities and making a visible and valuable difference in our community.

 

Lillooet Learns Society is an organization that was established in 2002 in support of life-long learning for individuals and community groups. The organization operates the Lillooet Restorative Justice Program along with several other education and support services.

 

Lillooet Senior Society is a group that provides programming for seniors in the Lillooet area.

 

Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) is a local government federation, consisting of four municipalities (District of LillooetVillage of PembertonResort Municipality of Whistler and District of Squamish) and four unincorporated rural Electoral Areas (ABC and D), operating on the traditional territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), St’át’imc and Líl’wat Nations.

School District #74 Gold Trail has 8 schools in the beautiful British Columbia interior. There are 3 K–12 schools; 1 rural one-room school; 1 secondary school; and 3 elementary schools. The relatively small number of students in each school means that all staff know every student individually, creating a positive learning environment.

 

St’át’imc Government Services is comprised of a majority of St’át’imc members from different communities across the territory. SGS administers programs to support St’át’imc priorities of effective resource management, upholding culture, and developing economic opportunities for St’át’imc people. We support education and training programs, environment monitoring and mitigation, and protection of St’át’imc heritage.

 

The Lillooet Friendship Centre Society is a non-for-profit urban Indigenous organization that has been offering community programming and social services since 1978.

 

Upper St’at’imc Language, Culture and Education Society has worked since 1991 on behalf of its First Nations communities and band councils to enhance and maintain St’át’imcets (St’át’imc language) and other cultural knowledge through education.
