The ECPC group, at the Lillooet Friendship Centre, are hosting the MMIWG event again this year on FRIDAY MAY 3RD, and invite everyone to attend to raise awareness and show caring and concern. Wear red. Bring your hand drums. We invite all Drummers and Dancers to honour the missing and murdered women and girls. TIMING: The event will go from 10 am to Noon. LOCATIONS: Gather at Downton Park (by the Museum) at 10 am, then, around 10:15am we will start the Walk along Main Street. The walk will end up at the Community Cares Building, (Old Dorms, 76 5th Avenue) where we will have an outdoor Commemorative Event and a lunch. We plan to have Drummers and Speakers and will have an open mic time for people to share their stories. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
